In a new joint press statement from the Ghana Police Service and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), they have said that Nana Appiah Mensah would show up in Dubai court on February 2.
Nana Appiah Mensah, who is the CEO of the gold trading point, Menzgold was said to be arrested in Dubai in December 2018 over some gold business gone.
An appointment was then sent to go consult on discretionary terms for the arrival of Nana Appiah as the nation does not have a removal plan with the UAE.
Ghanaians have been hanging tight for him to come back to the nation since Wednesday yet it appears, we would need to sit tight for some additional time and see what is the fate of his circumstance as a new press release from the Ghana Police service and EOCO is telling a different story.
The third point in the release reads:
3. It is the understanding of the Ghanaian delegation that, Nana Appiah Mensah faces misdemeanor charges in the UAE and will be made available to Ghana upon the final determination of his current matter in the UAE. His case is next due for court on Feb 2, 2019.
