According to reliable sources, American R&B act Chris Brown has been released from police custody after he was detained on charges of rape.
It was reported on January 21, 2019 that the US singer together with his body guard was being held by the Parisian police.
The alleged victim, a 24-year-old model, claimed Chris took her to his hotel in Paris and violently raped her. The US singer however denied it, claiming that he was never alone with the women the entire night.
He further insisted that he had been playing music off his iPhone in the living room of the suite with 20 people around him the entire time.
Although the popular R&B icon was released on January 22, 2019, prosecutors say the investigation is still ongoing.
His lawyer, Raphael Chiche, says, “Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.” Bջ
